Roadworthy Certificate Brisbane
Car RWC from $69.99. Workshop-based inspections, honest feedback, and same-day appointments where available.
Need a roadworthy certificate in Brisbane? RWC HUB does workshop-based inspections at our Yeerongpilly garage, with car RWC from $69.99 and straight feedback if your vehicle needs anything sorted before the certificate issues. Drivers from across Brisbane's inner south come to us every week, picking up an RWC for a private sale, a registration transfer, a rideshare renewal, or a trailer that needs to be roadworthy for work.
What a roadworthy certificate actually covers
In Queensland, a roadworthy certificate is required when you sell a registered light vehicle, transfer rego to a new owner, or re-register a vehicle that has lapsed. The inspection covers the items the Department of Transport and Main Roads classifies as safety-critical: brakes, suspension, steering, tyres, body, lights, seats and seat-belts, glass, and a few more. The certificate confirms those items met the standard at the time of inspection. It is not a long-term warranty and it is not a mechanical health check, but it is the document the buyer or the transfer paperwork actually needs.
Who we typically see in the workshop
Most Brisbane drivers who book with us fall into a handful of groups. There is the private seller getting a Camry or Hilux ready for a Gumtree listing. There is the parent transferring an old runabout to a P-plater. There is the rideshare driver renewing for Uber or DiDi. There is the tradie with a trailer that needs a fresh certificate before a job. And there is the buyer who wants an independent set of eyes on a vehicle they are about to buy from the Magic Mile in Moorooka. The questions are familiar, and the workshop sees enough of each that we can usually tell you what is likely to come up before the inspection starts.
What to bring
Bring the vehicle and its current registration details. If you have any service records or paperwork for recent work, bring those too. The keys and the vehicle itself are the only things we strictly need. If you have a specific question about a previous repair or a known issue, mention it when you book so we can advise on whether it will affect the inspection.
If your vehicle does not pass
A roadworthy fail is not the end of the world. We will explain exactly which item did not meet the standard, what the fix involves, and the most cost-effective way to get there. In a lot of cases we can do the work on the spot or schedule it for later that week. The vehicle is then re-inspected, usually without paying for a full second inspection.
